Erin & Tom: The Urban E-Session

Thursday found me headed south again. This time to Yarmouth to meet up with Erin and Tom for their E-Session. Probably the longest session I have ever had :) I arrived at their house around 1:45 p.m. and we finished up a couples minutes past 8:00.

When I first arrived we decided to chill-out on their back deck while enjoying some ice-cold, yummy cocktails that Tom twisted up for us (a great way to beat the 90+ degrees and humidity). We coud have sat right there all afternoon, but after a while we figured we should get get moving. I jumped in the back seat and Erin played 'Tour Guide" and drove me to both the Church and the Country Club where their September Wedding & Reception will be held before we headed into Portland's Old Port to begin shooting.

This first image was taken in front of 'Thai'd in Knots' furniture gallery...since they wil be "tying the knot" in less than 2 months. I know, the pun is kind of corny but I thought it was a cute spot for a picture :)

Tom bustin' out some of his 'Pole Dancing' moves for Erin...(wink)...or at least thats what it made me think of :)

...well whatever it was he was doing, it had an amazing affect on Erin (wink again), resulting in these H-O-T sidewalk images...

Tom doing a bit of 'sidewalk shopping' (kinda like window shopping) during our session ;)

I think he hated to just walk away from what caught his eye...

Ok...back to the H-O-T-N-E-S-S
this one might be my personal favorite of the day

There was no escaping this FIRE...

At this point we decided to take a break from the heat and had lunch and more tall, frosty beverages at 'The Dry Dock'.

Once break-time was over we headed to THE SPOT where Tom and Erin got engaged :)
We arrived JUST in time for sun set.
Check out the beautiful lighting we got for "Their Spot"!! Is that light delicious or what?!?!?

The very last minute of golden/red-ish sunlight for the day washed across their faces as we captured this tender moment...and then it was gone.

What a great day! What a Great Session! What a Great Couple!! My streak of having the nicest couples continues :D I feel so fortunate. My couples make my job sooooo enjoyable!!
I realize this was a long post, but I figured a 6 hour session needed a longer than usual post. What a fun day, I had a BLAST! I would like to thank Erin and Tom for their kindness and hospitality!! Thank you.
Can't wait until September 21st/22nd!!

Meet Amelia

Last Saturday, the 21st (yes I know I am behind on my blogging...but what's new?!) I had the opportunity to meet Amelia and shoot her Senior Portraits :)

One of the first things Amelia said to me was that I "had my work cut out for me because she isn't very photogenic." WELL I BEG TO DIFFER!! :D She's a beautiful young lady who takes beautiful photographs!

Amelia has a great sense of humor and was a lot of fun to shoot with, we laughed almost the whole time except when we were cursing the sweat flies and black flies that were RELENTLESS.

Here are a few from our session, which proves I am right and she was very wrong :) (and as always...click 'em to enlarge 'em)

Allison & Matt

Just this past Friday I took a ride down to the coast to meet up with Allison and Matt in the Topsham/Brunswick area to shoot their E-Session. Being from Virginia, this was my first chance to meet Allison and Matt as they were up in Maine for the weekend for Allison's bridal shower, visit with family, and shoot our session.

I feel so lucky, I get the NICEST couples as clients...I really do! Allison and Matt were great and I had such a fun evening with them :)

As with most couples from far away whom I don't get to have the initial meeting with, it can take a while to loosen up and get comfortable being in front of the camera of a person they just met who is asking them to display very open public displays of "affection" ;)
But they got the hang of it real quick and were a lot of fun to shoot.

The beautiful Sapphire Matt designed for Allison

And how HOT is this last one?!?! VERY HOT!!!
