Evening Visitors

The snow this winter was deep, very deep. With deep snow we don't get to see our regular family of deer all winter long. As the snow melts they slowly start making their way from the deep woods back to the outskirts of our property, and we started seeing them again a few weeks ago but only along the tree lines where the ground was first bare. Now that the snow has finally left our yard for good (knock on wood) our deer family has returned to grazing in our yard during the evening hours...almost a nightly occurrence (except when run off by our dogs when we fail to look out the windows prior to letting them out one last time for the night). This was last night shortly after 7:00, taken from a second floor window as Emi knocked on the window to get them all to look at us so we could take their picture ;)
